NEW LIFE
The montage in front of the altar symbolises the Victory won by the
Passion and Crucifixion of Christ, the Institution of the Blessed
Sacrament and the New Life of the Resurrection.
Looking at the left hand side, we see the Holy Instruments of the
Passion of Jesus, shown in gold because they have been transformed,
as has the Cross, in the centre, from being a sign of failure into
a sign of triumph.

The vine reminds us of what Jesus said to his disciples at the Last
Supper: "I am the vine and you are the branches". The grapes and
the bread are the traditional symbols of the Holy Eucharist.
On the right hand side, the animals symbolise new
life. St. Francis
is seen with them because he is an outstanding example of someone
who understood the New Commandments Jesus gave us: "Love one another
as I have loved you." Francis extended this to loving all God`s creation,
especially his creatures.
